Snow Arrives At Meelmore

(Posted: 6th January 2008)

Residents of Trassey Road woke up to a nice blanket of snow last Friday morning after heavy snow fell over Thursday evening. An average 4 - 6 inches of snow was recorded at Meelmore Lodge, where some spectacular views of the Hare's Gap and the Mournes were available. We have just uploaded a selection of photos from the area taken first thing on Friday morning - enjoy!

Meelmore Lodge would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their custom this past year and hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas holiday and wish all our customers a very prosperous new year. Check out our newly uploaded pictures from the past year, including a selection from the Federation of Master Builders Award Ceremony in Belfast and London, where J&M Contracts won the regional award in the Federation of Master Builders fifth category for a commercial building (new build or refurbishment) costing less than £3 million. Meelmore Lodge Celebrates Six Years of Business

(Posted: 11th July 2007)

The last weekend of June 2007 marked six years since members of the public could securely park their car and have a cup of tea at Meelmore Lodge. The past six years has seen it grow from a farm diversification project, to a popular destination for family camping, hill walkers and tourists, boasting a secure parking site, bustling coffee shop, family campsite and, most recently, hostel accommodation - all at the foot hills of the Mourne Mountains.

As always, we are continuing to work towards improving our facilities in order to facilitate the increasing numbers passing through, and hope to begin work on a new shower and toilet facility and a coffee shop extension in the near future. We would like to extend our thanks to all our visitors and their continued custom over the past six years and hope for many more to come.

Let us know what you think!
