Hostel
Completed in March 2007, the new accommodation at Meelmore Lodge boasts a wide range of facilities suitable for those looking to stay in the Mournes.
The accommodation is split into two dormitories and four en-suite rooms. The dorms are located on the ground floor and consist of one with five bunk beds and the other with four (bed linen included). Each bed is also fitted with a personal reading light.
The four en-suite rooms are situated upstairs and comprise of three family rooms with one double bed and two singles and a twin room with two single beds. As with the dorms, bed linen is included and in addition, each room comes equipped with a television. Some of the rooms also provide great views of the Hare's Gap and the Trassey Track.
A lounge area is available for guest use with soft chairs, TV/DVD as well as an open fire.
There is a fully fitted kitchen with dinning area and also a quiet/conference room which is available for meetings, seminars, etc. The building also provides a laundry/drying room with two washing machines and two drying machines with an additional area to dry clothes.
The conference room is available for hire at £5 per hour.
